Chapter 54 0056: Good morning, Captain! (Please vote for recommendations)
Night.
The Longjiang team and Teacher Zhang sat in the office, watching the surveillance footage. Before midnight, they saw Chu Yun arrive at the Longjiang camp, where he joined his students for a late-night snack.
“This guy is too arrogant. He already provoked Zhao Kuo during the day, and now he’s here deliberately to rub it in,” someone said, pointing at Chu Yun on the screen.
A member of the medical team chuckled. “Give it two more minutes and he’ll be lying on the ground like a dog.”
Teacher Zhang smiled, evidently agreeing.
At that moment, the delivery staff arrived with their takeout.
“Everyone, the food’s here.”
Seeing this, Teacher Zhang clapped his hands and called out to the team, “Let’s eat first. Tonight, these guys claim they don’t want to sleep and intend to give Lan Feng’s people a taste of their mettle. We might have to stay up all night, especially you data analysts—you’ll be working overtime to record their training details. For now, drop everything and come eat.”
Since he’d spoken, the others had no choice but to collect their food and settle down to eat.
Fifteen minutes later, when everyone returned to the office and glanced at the surveillance screens—
“What the hell?!”
Just moments before, the scene had been filled with laughter and conversation. Now, in the span of fifteen minutes, the campfire was shattered, trees around were broken, the grass and concrete ground were riddled with craters, and even nearby buildings showed signs of collapse—in short, it was utter chaos.
But even more shocking was the sight of the ten students, who had just been sitting there, now all sprawled on the ground. Some were twitching, others foaming at the mouth, but all had one thing in common: their faces were bruised and swollen.
“Damn it! Can someone please tell me what I missed in these fifteen minutes?” Teacher Zhang was utterly stunned, and the data analysts and others around him gaped in bewilderment.
“What on earth happened?” The rest were equally astonished.
“Rewind the footage!” Teacher Zhang ordered the technician.
The technician operated the virtual keyboard, jumping back to 12:01 a.m., when Zhao Kuo and his team had surrounded Chu Yun.
They seemed to have exchanged a few words, but five minutes later, everyone watching the footage felt their hair stand on end. From the moment Chu Yun made his move, it was as if they were watching a dream. It wasn’t their students crushing the opposition—it was more like a Super Saiyan was single-handedly grinding Zhao Kuo and the rest into the dirt.
From Chu Yun’s first punch, which landed on Little Guo’s foot, their mouths fell open. When Chu Yun’s powerful frame shook and sent everyone flying, their jaws nearly dislocated.
Fifteen minutes!
No, to be precise, from 12:05 to 12:15, it only took ten minutes. Chu Yun had shown them the meaning of “come out and see God.”
After 12:15, as they watched Chu Yun collect the Starlight Badges from the Longjiang students and walk away, no one in the office remained seated. Everyone stood, heads tilted back, staring at the departing figure on the big screen, feeling as if they were gazing up at a towering mountain.
By now, some people’s backs were soaked with sweat.
The office fell silent, broken only by the sound of people swallowing hard.
A long moment passed.
“This…” Teacher Zhang was at a loss for words. His dry lips pressed together, and all he managed to utter was, “Damn!”
Two data analysts awkwardly asked, “Teacher Zhang, do we… need to record this?”
Teacher Zhang nodded silently. “Record it.”
“But…” The two stammered, “How should we write it?”
“Just write—Seventeen years old, wiped out three teams in fifteen minutes!”
The video editor reminded him, “Teacher Zhang, it was only ten minutes. They started at 12:05 and finished at 12:15!”
Teacher Zhang: “…”
“Teacher Zhang, maybe we should focus on treatment for now,” suggested two of the medical staff.
“Let them crawl out by themselves,” Teacher Zhang muttered, feeling utterly humiliated. “Ten against one and they still got beaten like this. They’ve traveled all this way just to embarrass themselves!”
A medic replied, “No, I mean, maybe you and Lan Feng’s side should get a psychologist. After something like this, it might leave them with some psychological trauma.”
“….” Teacher Zhang almost wanted to slap these guys. Never mind the students—he himself felt like he could use a psychologist to learn how to stay calm after witnessing something like this.
Elsewhere, Teacher Yu and his team were also in their office, preparing to watch the training session at midnight. While they were still adjusting the equipment and camera feeds, the office door was suddenly kicked open.
Chu Yun stood in the doorway, pulled ten Starlight Badges from his bag, and tossed them onto the table. “I’m going to bed,” he said, then closed the door behind him.
Teacher Yu and his group stared at the ten Starlight Badges on the table, exchanging bewildered glances.
Just then, Hou Manman and the other nine returned.
Teacher Yu scolded, “What are you doing? The session has just begun and you’re quitting already?”
Hou Manman looked innocent. “Wasn’t tonight’s match already over?”
“The badges are all here—how can it be over?” Teacher Yu said angrily. “You may be weak, but you can’t lose your spirit! Show some attitude and get back out there!”
Zhang Yang glanced at the badges in Teacher Yu’s hand. “Those aren’t ours.”
“If they’re not yours, then whose are they? The other team’s?” Teacher Yu snapped. “Get back out there, now!”
No sooner had he spoken than Zhang Yang and the others produced their own badges.
Hou Manman shot a look at Teacher Yu and the school’s technicians, who were still fiddling with the equipment. Raising her brows, she said, “Switch the feed to their base. Start watching from midnight.”
“I’m going to bed,” she added, turning and leaving the office.
The others followed, one after another.
Only then did Teacher Yu hurriedly instruct the technician to switch to the surveillance feed from Longjiang’s base and rewind to the time Hou Manman mentioned.
From 12:05 to 12:15, they practically watched kneeling.
Throughout the office, the only words repeated again and again were, “Holy shit!”
After returning to his dorm, Chu Yun washed his face and climbed into bed.
Soon, there was a knock at the door. Chu Yun didn’t get up, so Chen Fei, barefoot, hurried over to open it. When he saw Zhang Yang and the other seven from the star class standing outside, he instinctively took a step back in fright.
After Zhang Yang pushed open the door, all eight walked into the room.
Chen Fei barely dared to breathe, thinking these eight were about to start a fight with Chu Yun. He knew he’d be powerless if it came to blows, so he shrank into a corner, trembling.
“Chu Yun… wake up,” Chen Fei called softly, not daring to raise his voice.
Suddenly, led by Zhang Yang, all eight bowed deeply to Chu Yun and, in unison, called out, “Greetings, Class Monitor!”
Bathed in the moonlight streaming through the dorm door, the eight star figures of Lan Feng, bowing deeply to Chu Yun, left an indelible impression on Chen Fei’s heart.
(A note on updates: three chapters a day, usually updated at night—this one was last night’s third chapter. Also, please vote for recommendations; there are so few votes, I can’t even make it onto the rankings—it’s a little embarrassing. I’m trying a new direction and feeling a bit uncertain, so please give me some motivation.)
