Chapter 19: Protect Her Well
Chapter 019: Protect Her Well
Ye Feng also noticed Huang Wei’s murderous glare and couldn’t help but sit upright, feigning seriousness. In truth, he was a very pure-hearted person. Acting on the principle of helping others, he had merely reached out his hand when Huang Shan was about to fall—a perfectly proper thing to do. As for what happened afterward, that was entirely beyond anyone’s expectations.
Huang Shan saw the anger in Huang Wei’s eyes as well. Her little niece had always been her elder brother’s darling. “Wei’er, it’s all right!” Huang Shan quickly put on a smiling face, as if nothing had happened. Clearly, Huang Shan was no ordinary woman. Ye Feng thought this to himself—regardless of her complexity, he had certainly taken advantage of the situation.
“Yes, Auntie, as long as you’re okay. There was just a speed bump over there, so that’s why it happened.” Huang Wei said guiltily. She’d intended to teach that rascal a lesson, but unexpectedly, her aunt had been the one put at a disadvantage. Of course, what kind of disadvantage, she didn’t know—she just assumed her aunt had been startled.
“It’s fine now,” Huang Shan replied, pretending to be at ease, though her heart was fluttering with a strange sensation. How could it be nothing, especially when the fullness of her chest had just been assaulted by a man’s hand? Even now there lingered a peculiar feeling.
Ye Feng saw the spring-like expression on Huang Shan’s face and realized he’d had an effect on her. Women, he mused, always became lonely after too long. Especially after such an innocent movement from him, yet it had evoked such a response. Ye Feng slowly moved closer to Huang Shan.
Huang Shan, embarrassed, kept her head down. Suddenly, the distinct scent of a man enveloped her, making her nervous. She looked up to find his affectionate eyes fixed on her, and her heart skipped. They were in the car, after all—what did this man intend? Was he going to kiss her? That would be absolutely unacceptable.
“Shan, are you all right?” Ye Feng suddenly changed direction, catching Huang Shan completely off guard. She had already prepared to close her eyes and accept his kiss, but it didn’t happen. What should have been a romantic moment was lost, leaving her with a sense of disappointment.
The disappointment remained in her heart, but her face stayed composed. “I’m fine,” she replied. Glancing at Huang Wei, who was focused on driving, she reached out her slender hand and pinched Ye Feng’s waist. Ye Feng was still feeling smug when pain shot through his side—oh no, Huang Shan’s delicate hand had found its mark.
“Hehe, thank you for your concern,” Huang Shan whispered into Ye Feng’s ear, blowing a warm breath that made him shiver. She really was enchanting, and the scent she breathed was intoxicating. Her lips moved enticingly, red and alluring.
“Shan, you’re too polite. Are you really all right?” Ye Feng glanced at Huang Wei, who, having learned her lesson, was now diligently driving. Seizing the moment, Ye Feng pulled Huang Shan into his arms. The softness pressed against him, making him groan involuntarily.
Huang Shan hadn’t expected Ye Feng’s move. Without warning, she fell into his embrace, which was gentle and warm. Her chest collided with something firm, sending a tingling sensation through her body. Stranger still, a hand slid from her shoulder, sweeping across her bosom.
“Ah!” Huang Shan cried out in alarm. This scoundrel! Didn’t he know how sensitive a woman’s chest was? How could he treat her like this? Her face was flushed scarlet, but Ye Feng pretended nothing had happened, as if all was perfectly natural.
“Hmph!” Huang Shan grumbled under her breath. This rascal was still acting as if nothing had happened—infuriating. Yet, deep down, she felt an inexplicable anticipation, almost as if she was hoping Ye Feng’s hands would wander again to her sensitive places. Oh heavens, how could she think such things? She was on the verge of losing her mind. She thought her years in business had made her impervious to anything, yet before this young man, she felt utterly defenseless.
Ye Feng had intended to continue teasing Huang Shan, but suddenly realized something was off with Huang Wei, who was driving. She seemed to be watching him in the rearview mirror, so Ye Feng quickly withdrew from Huang Shan, putting on a concerned expression that made Huang Wei find him unexpectedly endearing.
“Hey, Ye Feng, you need to protect my aunt well, understand?” Huang Wei sternly warned, afraid that any sudden anger or jolt might harm her aunt. If only she knew that her words were playing right into Ye Feng’s hands, she would have been beside herself with rage.
“Of course. I’ll protect Shan with all my heart, right, Shan?” As he spoke, Ye Feng pulled Huang Shan into his arms again. She was enveloped in his embrace—what a delight! If only every day could be like this, Ye Feng thought, he’d die a happy man. Huang Shan’s chest was simply wonderful.
“You!” Huang Shan was about to explode. This scoundrel always bullied her, seizing every opportunity to take advantage. Truly infuriating. But if she were to resist or refuse, would he succeed? And in his embrace, she felt something strange—the masculine scent was so strong.
“Shan, are you all right?” Ye Feng asked, letting his hand slide from her cheek to her chest. Oh heavens, Huang Shan intended to protect herself, but Ye Feng’s hand moved too quickly, brushing across her softness.
“You!” She wanted to call him a scoundrel, but remembering her niece in front, she refrained. Ye Feng had expected Huang Shan to resist, so he could take advantage elsewhere, but alas—it was not to be.
