Chapter 120: Call the Police at Once
Chapter 120: Call the Police Immediately
Word of the discounts at the Chenlong Club spread quickly, attracting a large crowd. The club, which had been quiet just moments before, suddenly became bustling with activity. Ma Long and his team were grinning from ear to ear. Meanwhile, those watching the club’s every move from the outside were equally delighted. "Damn it," they thought, "let’s pull off a big job tonight, then go find some girls to celebrate."
Exactly as Ye Feng had anticipated, the agitators were getting restless. Seeing the club’s business booming, the team leader decided it was time to strike. "Charge!" he commanded, planning a surprise raid.
Just as they were about to sound the sirens and move in, a group of masked figures suddenly appeared. They drew weapons from their waistbands and unleashed a barrage of fire at the vehicles. Using heavy iron spikes, they punctured the tires, causing the cars to hiss and deflate instantly. Realizing something was wrong, the team leader ordered his men to exit the vehicles.
The leader initially thought that with so many men, they could easily take down these bastards. They were used to being the ones in control, not the ones being toyed with. He waved his hand, and his men scrambled out with their own weapons—sidearms they had hoped to keep holstered unless absolutely necessary.
However, the situation quickly spiraled out of control. Before they could even draw their own weapons, they were disarmed by their attackers. The men were horrified; these were their service weapons, and they had been taken away in an instant.
With no other choice, the leader and his men rushed forward to fight hand-to-hand, but they were incapacitated within seconds. Three of the masked men then raised the stolen weapons and fired several shots into the air, causing the nearby crowd to freeze in their tracks.
The team leader and his men were terrified. Was this real? They knew the guns were loaded with real ammunition. If the masked men were displeased, those barrels could easily be turned toward them. "Boss, please, have mercy!" the leader pleaded.
"Mercy your mother!" One of the burly men delivered a punch straight to the leader’s face, knocking out several of his front teeth. He then pointed a gun at the leader’s thigh and pulled the trigger. A loud bang echoed, followed by the leader’s pig-like shriek. *Damn it,* he thought, *why didn't it hurt this much when I was the one shooting at others?*
The leader’s agonizing screams made his subordinates tremble. If those masked men were bad shots and hit them in their most sensitive areas, it would be the end of their lineage.
Suddenly, the masked men did something unexpected. They engaged the safety catches, tossed the guns onto the ground with a crisp metallic clatter, and vanished into the night.
The men rushed to help their leader. "Boss, are you alright?" They shook him so vigorously that the battered man felt like he was falling apart. "Damn you! Stop shaking me, I’m about to fall to pieces!"
A sudden sound of footsteps approached, causing everyone to freeze. When the newcomers arrived, the leader was stunned—it was Ma Long, the manager of the Chenlong Club, accompanied by his staff. Seeing the scene, Ma Long immediately shouted, "Quick, call the police! Someone has been robbed just outside the Chenlong Club! Hurry!"
Although Ma Long wore a serious expression, he was inwardly ecstatic. Brother Feng was truly a mastermind; his calculations were precise, and the execution was flawless. Looking at the ruined vehicles, he imagined the owners must be bleeding inside.
"Ma—Manager Ma, it’s me! Don’t call the police!" The leader panicked. If other police squads arrived and saw him in this state, he would be a laughingstock. He had always relied on his connections and record to maintain his status; being seen like this would be humiliating.
"Who are you? Never mind that, call the police now!" Ma Long feigned ignorance, secretly delighted. This was exactly the effect he wanted. No one could run wild at his club and get away with it. He noticed the scattered pistols on the ground and felt even more smug.
The leader was desperate. How could Ma Long not recognize his handsome face? "Ma Long, dammit, I’m the police team leader who came to inspect your club yesterday!"
Ma Long pretended to rub his eyes. "Oh! It’s you, Officer! My apologies. Hey, everyone, stop calling the police! This is a member of the people’s police!" Ma Long shouted loudly, knowing his staff had already placed the call. As onlookers gathered and began recording with their phones, he knew this would be all over social media by morning: "Police Officer Beaten in the Street," "Guns Scattered Everywhere." It would be a hit.
The leader tried to quiet him, but it was too late. Everyone knew his identity now. "Manager Ma, couldn't you... lower your voice?" he whispered, feeling his face turn green.
Ma Long, reveling in the moment, replied with a straight face, "Of course, Officer! I certainly won't tell anyone you're a policeman!" He then "accidentally" let go of the man he was helping, causing the leader to tumble headfirst into the dirt. The crowd burst into laughter.
"Boss!" the other officers rushed to pull their leader up. The leader glared at Ma Long, but he could do nothing; after all, Ma Long hadn't technically done anything to him.
The police response was efficient, as they had been ordered to monitor the club closely. When the backup squad arrived and saw the leader’s pathetic state, they couldn't help but snicker. The leader was furious, vowing to hunt down the attackers. He spotted the guns on the ground, unaware that the only fingerprints on them were his own.
