Chapter 009: The Arrival of Wei Huang

The next morning, Ye Feng savored the breakfast his mother had prepared for him. He had always thought highly of her cooking skills. Upon arriving at the hotel, the receptionist, Xiao Mei Wen, greeted him. “Brother Long, the general manager asked that you go see her in her office as soon as you arrive.”

“Thank you, Xiao Mei,” Ye Feng replied with a smile, leaning in to whisper in her ear, “You look especially beautiful today.” Then, leaving the blushing beauty behind, he strode away, her cheeks flushed with the memory of the handsome man’s words.

At the end of the corridor on the second floor, Ye Feng rapped twice on the door of the general manager’s office. From inside came the alluring voice of Auntie Wen, “Come in!”

Wen Biyun, who had been hunched over her desk writing, looked up and saw the man she adored. A radiant smile blossomed on her face. “What took you so long?” Her delicate expression was enough to make anyone want to steal a kiss. Her captivating beauty seemed to glow.

“Oh? Did you miss me that much, darling? One day apart feels like three years, doesn’t it?” Ye Feng grinned wickedly, his eyes lingering on the proud curves of her chest. That figure of hers was as alluring as ever, defying her age. Ever since Ye Feng and his aunt had crossed that line, he’d become even bolder in his admiration of her.

“Rogue! Scoundrel!” Wen Biyun retorted, her cheeks flushing as she spat at him. This man had haunted her thoughts since last night, the memories of their time together impossible to forget.

“Then let me show you just how much of a rogue I can be.” With that, Ye Feng swept her into his arms, inhaling her subtle fragrance. His hands began to wander, caressing her curves as his lips sought hers, soft and moist.

A gentle moan escaped Wen Biyun’s lips. His touch felt like fire, igniting every inch of her skin, awakening her deepest desires. Slowly, she began to lose herself in the sensation.

Ye Feng had locked the door before entering, leaving no room for concern. He grew ever bolder in his teasing, making Wen Biyun’s body grow hotter and more fevered, her senses overwhelmed by a tingling need, especially as her passion began to well up within her.

After a round of teasing, the man claimed her with vigor. No one knew how much time passed before the shrill ring of the telephone suddenly interrupted them.

Conveniently positioned, Wen Biyun answered the phone. It was Tianba Huang. “Hello, Master Huang, what can I do for you?” Wen Biyun had always been cautious with this influential figure, who wielded power in both the underworld and the legitimate world of You County. So when he’d called last night, she’d reluctantly agreed to his request—after all, she was still the owner of the hotel.

“Ah, Manager Wen, something came up unexpectedly today. I won’t be able to accompany my daughter to the Jinxing Hotel. I’d appreciate it if you could show her around in my place,” Tianba Huang said courteously.

“Ah!” Whether by accident or design, Ye Feng’s actions made Wen Biyun cry out, surprising her. On the other end, Tianba Huang asked with concern what had happened.

“It’s nothing, nothing at all. I’ll do as you wish, Master Huang. I’m just a bit busy at the moment, so I’ll have to let you go.” She hung up abruptly, glaring at Ye Feng before once more surrendering herself to his embrace.

After their passion subsided, the strong man held the mature beauty Wen Biyun in his arms. She looked utterly satisfied. Her lover had been perfect, bringing her to the peak time and again. “Ye Feng, you were amazing just now.”

“Naturally. Your husband is always strong. Don’t you like it this way?” Ye Feng grinned devilishly, his fingers toying with her generous curves.

A heavy knocking sounded at the door. The woman struggled out of his powerful arms, hurriedly straightened her clothes, and opened the door. Standing outside was a mature beauty whose looks matched her own. An oval face, elegant brows, phoenix eyes, a delicate nose, rosy lips, and creamy, flawless skin—a noble air about her, though she wore a look of pride. Out of professional courtesy, Wen Biyun greeted her politely, “Hello, may I help you?”

“That’s what I should be asking you. What are you doing in my office? I am now the general manager of this hotel. This is my office, and I expect you to leave.” The beautiful woman added a deliberate harrumph to emphasize her authority, making it clear this was her territory and outsiders were not welcome.

“This is my office, not yours. General manager? I don’t know you. Please leave at once,” Wen Biyun retorted, her patience fraying. This was her domain, hers and her husband’s. What was this crazy woman thinking? Pretty as she was, her behavior was unacceptable.

In her agitation, Wen Biyun had quite forgotten last night’s agreement—after all, when Tianba Huang asked, she could only comply. She knew all too well what kind of man he was. Wei Huang had thought the transfer of power would be smooth, but after knocking for ages with no answer, she’d finally found herself face to face with a breathtaking beauty ready to challenge her. “I’m Wei Huang. I’m here to take over the Jinxing Grand Hotel.”

“Oh, it’s you. Come in.” Wen Biyun finally remembered, though she couldn’t quite quell her annoyance. “Even if you’re the general manager, you’re only here temporarily. I am the true owner of this place.” She snorted in return—if she could huff, so could Wen Biyun, who simmered with indignation.

“Hmph, this shabby hotel is hardly worth my attention. If it weren’t for Ye Feng, I wouldn’t have bothered coming at all.” Wei Huang was on the verge of losing her composure, first running into that scoundrel who’d nearly made her faint from anger, and now facing off against this formidable beauty. What luck was this?

“Ye Feng?” Wen Biyun was stunned. What did this have to do with her beloved man? At that moment, Ye Feng walked in from behind, eyeing the beautiful woman with curiosity. “Ma’am, what brings you here?”

“Ma’am?” Wen Biyun nearly burst out laughing. What was her nephew thinking, calling such a beauty “ma’am”? “You two know each other?”

“Yes, Ye Feng. I’m the new general manager here. From now on, you’ll be working with me—as my personal bodyguard.” Ye Feng hadn’t intended to agree, but the words “personal bodyguard” made his heart race. He couldn’t help but imagine just how “personal” that might be—perhaps even flesh to flesh—he chuckled inwardly at the thought.
