Due to thorough prior preparation, the outcome was self-evident. In less than ten minutes, a large group of men were sprawled haphazardly across the ground.

"Detain all of them!"

Dressed in a well-tailored black trench coat and brandishing a gleaming broadsword, Long Xiaoman barked orders left and right, looking immensely imposing.

"Xiaoman, take your people and evacuate the Dragon Palace immediately. You can't stay here tonight!" Yang Jiekai said, stretching his arms and legs after not having a proper, unrestrained fight in a long time.

Long Xiaoman nodded in understanding and quickly ordered her subordinates to take the "prisoners" and retreat from the Dragon Palace Bar.

Long Xiaoman likely knew just how deep Blind Wu's influence ran much better than Yang Jiekai did. Although they had temporarily won a major victory thanks to careful preparation, these men were merely Blind Wu's advance force. Yang Jiekai believed Blind Wu would soon dispatch a large contingent, making it dangerous to remain at the Dragon Palace Bar any longer.

After stepping out of the Dragon Palace Bar, Yang Jiekai made phone calls to Red Boy and the others stationed in the outskirts. He learned that the turfs in the suburbs had also been targeted by Blind Wu's forces, but thanks to ample preparation, they had managed to repel the attackers for the time being.

"Alright, keep guarding your respective territories. Blind Wu certainly won't let this go. Remember, don't clash with them head-on. Fight if you can win; retreat if you can't!"

After issuing his orders to Red Boy and the others, Yang Jiekai handed a cigarette to Old Cudgel standing beside him. A flicker of imperceptible cunning crossed his eyes, and his tone turned slightly cold, "Next, it's up to the two of us."

Old Cudgel accepted the cigarette, lit it, took a deep drag, and gave a slight nod.

Blind Wu's headquarters was located in a medium-sized nightclub in the city center. At that moment, he was in a private VIP booth, making a furious phone call.

"Useless trash, all of you! Keep fighting! Don't bother coming back to see me if you can't win!"

Blind Wu slammed the phone down, veins bulging on his forehead, nearly spitting blood from rage.

In his eyes, a minor faction like the Dragon Hall was nothing more than small fry. He had expected to completely wipe out the Dragon Hall in a single night, but instead, every piece of news he received was of defeat. Every squad he had sent out had suffered reverses.

However, Blind Wu was a seasoned veteran of the underworld. He quickly steadied his emotions, sat in his leather sofa in deep thought for a long moment, and then made several more phone calls.

"Be careful, and don't be careless. They must have set up ambushes. Use your brains when you encounter resistance—do not charge in blindly. Inform me immediately if anything happens."

The reason Blind Wu did not panic despite suffering several consecutive defeats was that he knew, although the Dragon Hall had developed rapidly and unified the suburbs in a short time, it was still barely mediocre compared to his true strength.

He believed the Dragon Hall's actions were simply born of ignorance. As long as the conflict dragged on, victory would undoubtedly be on his side.

Yet, Blind Wu overlooked a crucial fact. In his wildest dreams, he would never have imagined that two top-tier masters were mixed among these small fry in his eyes, nor could he have possibly foreseen that tonight would be the last night he ever closed his eyes.

Under Blind Wu's remote command, the newly dispatched squads finally scored a few decent victories, routing Red Boy and his men in the suburbs and sending them fleeing in all directions.

"Well done! Tell the brothers that everyone will be heavily rewarded tomorrow!"

Upon receiving the news of victory, Blind Wu finally breathed a sigh of relief, lit a cigar, and leaned back leisurely in his leather chair.

"Go find me a girl."

Blind Wu beckoned to a subordinate waiting nearby. Eliminating the Dragon Hall meant he could officially take over the four suburban districts tomorrow. Though the profits were somewhat meager compared to his city center businesses, even the smallest mosquito had meat.

In exceptionally high spirits, he decided to find a woman to amuse himself with. It was an old habit of his—whenever he was in a good mood, he always needed female companionship.

However, after waiting and waiting, that subordinate failed to return. Blind Wu frowned and was just about to call him to unleash his fury when the door was suddenly pushed open.

"Damn it, how do you do things, taking so long..."

Blind Wu was about to fire up, but his words stopped midway. What he saw was not his subordinate and the woman he anticipated, but two men slowly walking in through the doorway.

"Yang Jiekai!"

Blind Wu recognized Yang Jiekai at a glance. True to his reputation as an underworld veteran, however, he showed no panic at all, asking in a deep voice, "How did you get in here?"

As the leader of a moderately sized gang in the city center, especially during wartime, Blind Wu naturally surrounded himself with layers of protection. Seeing Yang Jiekai and another unfamiliar man walk in inevitably felt rather bizarre to him.

"Never mind that."

Yang Jiekai rubbed his nose, slowly sat down on the nearby sofa, and looked at Blind Wu. "I'll give you a way out. Bring your men and join the Dragon Hall, and I can spare your life today."

Upon hearing this, Blind Wu burst into laughter, glaring viciously at Yang Jiekai. "Do you think that just because you've appeared before me, you've already won? Hahaha, you probably don't even know your own weight."

Yang Jiekai leisurely lit a cigarette, gently shook his head, and sighed. "You don't need to tell me my weight; I know it myself. But let me remind you of one thing—I am giving you a chance to survive. Furthermore, I don't have a very good temper. I'll give you the time it takes to smoke a cigarette, and I hope you make your decision quickly."

"Bullshit!"

Blind Wu was entirely unfazed. After all, this was his lair. He slammed his fist heavily onto the table and shouted, "Believe me or not, the moment I give the order, none of you will walk out of here today!"

"Oh, is that so?"

Yang Jiekai exhaled a wisp of smoke, looking at Blind Wu with a half-smile. "Since we were able to walk in safely and soundly, we can walk out the exact same way. If you don't believe me, you can give it a try."

"Someone come!"

Blind Wu slammed the table hard and let out a loud roar. But after his shout, no one entered.

"Don't waste your energy."

Yang Jiekai crossed his legs, looked at Blind Wu, and said, "While you were making your phone calls just now, the guards you stationed outside were already dealt with by us. Right now, you are nothing more than a commander with an empty banner."

Blind Wu finally began to panic.

He never imagined that he had deployed at least a hundred men here, only for them to be wiped out in an instant.

"Yang Jiekai, I know you can fight, but you seem to have forgotten one thing."

True to his veteran status, Blind Wu quickly steadied himself. He slowly lit a cigarette for himself, looked at Yang Jiekai, and said, "No matter how good your martial arts are, can you be faster than a bullet?"

As he spoke, Blind Wu suddenly yanked open a drawer, whipped out a handgun, and aimed it straight at Yang Jiekai, snarling viciously, "I'll give you a chance too. Scram out of here now while you still can, or else the moment I pull the trigger—ah!"

Before Blind Wu could finish his sentence, he let out a miserable howl. A swift tearing sound echoed, followed by a piercing pain in his wrist. The handgun clattered to the floor. Looking closely, a bamboo skewer had somehow materialized, piercing straight through his wrist!

Standing silently to the side, Old Cudgel kept his eyelids half-drooped, too lazy to even speak, as if he had done nothing at all just moments ago.

Yang Jiekai gently shook his head and sighed, "Blind Wu, I gave you a chance, but you refused it. You brought this on yourself."

With that, he exchanged a glance with Old Cudgel.

Old Cudgel cracked his neck, then walked step by step toward Blind Wu. He reached out a hand and forcefully pressed Blind Wu's head down onto the desk.

"Yang Jiekai, I don't believe you dare to kill me!"

Large beads of sweat began to ooze from Blind Wu's forehead as he glared fiercely at Yang Jiekai. "You can kill me today, but the moment I die, not only will the Chinese police not let you go, but someone will use my entire fortune to hunt down and slaughter your entire family."

Yang Jiekai remained silent. He gently stubbed out his cigarette butt in the ashtray, stood up, opened the door, and walked out.

Old Cudgel kept his eyelids drooped, forever wearing a sleepy expression, and slowly pulled the bamboo skewer out of Blind Wu's wrist.

"I don't believe you dare to—"

Thud!

Before Blind Wu could finish, the chopstick-thick bamboo skewer drove straight through his ear, completely piercing his entire skull.

Until his dying breath, Blind Wu's eyes remained wide open. There were too many things he could not figure out, and he felt deeply aggrieved by his death.

With heavy guards posted outside, how had these two men entered without a sound? And where did they get the audacity to actually kill him?

Of course, Blind Wu's death was not unjust at all. In terms of overall capability, the Dragon Hall's current strength was indeed still a notch below his.

However, he would never guess who Yang Jiekai truly was—this was a terrifying figure who, on mercenary battlefields, had once used a single sniper rifle to quietly eliminate an enemy commander amidst the encirclement of thousands, retreating completely unscathed.

The other person who claimed his life was an enigmatic hermit master whose martial arts prowess left even Yang Jiekai unsure of victory in a direct duel.

The subordinates Blind Wu had stationed in his headquarters were simply nothing in the eyes of these two men.

Walking out of Blind Wu's room, Yang Jiekai stretched his arms and said to the silent Old Cudgel beside him, "Let's make a bet."

"What are we betting on?" Old Cudgel muttered in a low voice.

"Let's see who takes down more. The loser treats the other to drinks."

"Alright."

In truth, Yang Jiekai had told a little white lie to Blind Wu earlier. Although he and Old Cudgel had sneaked into Blind Wu's room without a sound, they had not wiped out all the guards outside.

Though top-tier experts, he and Old Cudgel were not superhumans. The trope of one person fighting over a hundred opponents only existed in television shows.

Yang Jiekai excelled at infiltration techniques, so sneaking into Blind Wu's room silently only required him to eliminate a few guards at critical checkpoints. Right now, there were still over a hundred of Blind Wu's subordinates scattered throughout the venue, though they remained blissfully unaware that their boss had already been dealt with.
