After Huang Xiaomao was taken away in the car, a few minutes later a flying vehicle came speeding in.

A flying vehicle was essentially an automobile fitted with a pair of wings resembling those of an airplane, and at that moment Han Hao leaped down from it.

The moment Chen Meng saw Han Hao, he hurried over and said, "Uncle, you finally made it. I caught another cultist today, so I've made another contribution."

Han Hao did not know whether to laugh or sigh. Those cultists were like rats; even their Bureau of Law Enforcement could hardly catch a few in a month, yet Chen Meng had run into four in just a few days.

It was truly uncanny, as though the words "cultist nemesis" ought to have been written across Chen Meng's forehead.

"Once this is over, your merit points will be calculated," Han Hao said, then looked toward Jiang Feiyu. "I hear this cultist is related to the one who stole documents from the Jiangzhou Academy of Sciences last time?"

"Yes. He came to avenge Chen Meng for that," Jiang Feiyu replied. He had heard everything Huang Xiaomao said, and with such important information, he had naturally reported it to Han Hao at once.

Han Hao's face turned cold. He said with a snort, "There are more than a hundred people in the Huang family, and every last one of them is a cultist. What a pity that by the time we finished interrogating Huang Caidie last time, the people of the Huang family had already fled. We searched nearly half of Jiangzhou and still could not find where they were hiding. We were just lamenting the lack of clues, and now we have caught another member of the Huang family."

Chen Meng and Jiang Feiyu both froze.

More than a hundred people, all cultists. If word of that got out, it would be enough to make the evening news across the nation.

"Bring that cultist here. I want to interrogate him now and find out where this new stronghold of the Huang family is," Han Hao said.

At once, Jiang Feiyu dragged Huang Xiaomao out.

Pulled from the car, Huang Xiaomao immediately resumed cursing Chen Meng.

Han Hao could not be bothered with nonsense. He directly drew a handgun and fired into Huang Xiaomao's other leg.

Bang, the shot cracked through the air.

Huang Xiaomao clutched his leg and rolled on the ground, crying out in pain.

"Shut up!"

Han Hao roared, ready to fire again.

But who could have known that Huang Xiaomao, utterly terrified out of his wits, would roll right up beside Han Hao, wrap both arms around his leg, and beg, "Mister, don't hit me, don't hit me!"

Chen Meng was speechless. This idiot was even calling Han Hao uncle. Just now when I was hitting you, why didn't you call me uncle?

Han Hao would show no mercy, even if the man's intellect truly had problems. "Speak. Where are the people of your Huang family now?"

At that, Huang Xiaomao hesitated, then shook his head. The fellow still did not want to speak.

Han Hao knew that if the Huang family received the news, they would surely flee once more. He had no time to waste on Huang Xiaomao and had to seize every second.

He simply pointed the gun at Huang Xiaomao's head. "If you don't talk, uncle will blow your head off."

Huang Xiaomao trembled all over. Looking at Han Hao, he felt the gun press again against his forehead.

He stood nearly six and a half feet tall, yet at that moment he looked as though he might cry.

"Uncle is going to fire now."

Han Hao's voice was calm, and Huang Xiaomao no longer dared to hesitate. He immediately named a place.

Han Hao had never even heard of it. He asked for a more precise address, but the fool seemed truly lacking in intellect and could not explain anything clearly at all; he only knew it was in a mountain somewhere outside Jiangzhou.

After a moment's thought, Han Hao said, "You will lead the way!"

With that, he hauled Huang Xiaomao onto the flying vehicle. Soon afterward, more than fifty flying vehicles arrived as well, and judging by Han Hao's display, he intended to wipe out the entire Huang family in one sweep.

Chen Meng's heart burned with excitement. If the entire Huang family could be captured, then he would be safe too.

"Uncle, don't stand there talking. Let's go at once. We absolutely cannot let a single member of the Huang family escape," Chen Meng said, moving as if to board Han Hao's flying vehicle.

But Han Hao grabbed him and yanked him down. "What are you doing? With your level of strength, are you trying to go and die? There are more than a hundred people in the Huang family, nearly a hundred of them divine-body beings, not to mention the family head and the old patriarch, both third-stage divine-body beings. If people see that you are there as well, believe me, there will be those who would rather die than not kill you."

Chen Meng was startled by this.

Indeed, if he went, and given the Huang family's hatred toward him, someone might truly be willing to give up their life just to kill him.

"Go home," Han Hao told him at last.

Then he seized Huang Xiaomao, boarded the flying vehicle, and sped off in the direction indicated.

...

Outside Jiangzhou, in a secluded mountain hollow, the Huang family was in utter disarray, for someone had already discovered that Huang Xiaomao was missing.

"Still haven't found Xiaomao?" a middle-aged man asked with a frown. They were hiding in this hollow, and if the Bureau of Law Enforcement did not know the place, it would be impossible for them to find it.

The several Huang family members nearby all nodded.

Then a woman slowly said, "I kept hearing that Xiaomao was going to avenge his aunt. Could he really have gone?"

The middle-aged man's expression changed slightly.

He looked at the woman and said in a grave voice, "Jiang Lan, was it you who encouraged Xiaomao? His intelligence is not high. If no one helped him, he could not even have walked out of this hollow on his own."

Indeed, the woman who had spoken was Jiang Lan, who had previously led the ambush on Rat Baby and Chen Meng.

Hearing this, Jiang Lan smiled. "Patriarch Huang, what are you implying? That I encouraged Xiaomao? If you have no evidence, I will have to complain about you to the Protector. Your Huang family has taken so many resources from the Sacred Church, yet you did not even send a single person in the last operation to encircle and kill Rat Baby. This time we asked you to steal a set of documents from the Jiangzhou Academy of Sciences, and you botched that as well. Do you really think the Sacred Church's resources are so easy to take?"

At this, the Huang family head's face turned as dark as ink.

His Huang family had taken root in Jiangzhou for many years. Relying on the resources of the New Moon Cult, they had secretly become a not-insignificant family of divine-body beings. But who could have known that the New Moon Cult would suffer a crushing blow from the Bureau of Law Enforcement last time, with even the Protector dying? And when the new Protector came to reorganize the New Moon Cult in Jiangzhou, he placed great trust in those who had survived that operation. As a result, Jiang Lan, a newcomer with only first-stage divine-body strength, had actually vaulted into the position of the new Protector's direct disciple, equivalent to being an inner disciple of the cult. Ordinary people without third-stage divine-body cultivation had no qualification to become inner disciples.

In fact, this Huang family head himself held only the status of an inner disciple within the New Moon Cult, equal in rank to Jiang Lan.

Just then, Jiang Lan's phone suddenly rang.

After answering, Jiang Lan let out a cold laugh. "Patriarch Huang, it seems your foolish son really did go to Jiangzhou, and he has already been caught by the Bureau of Law Enforcement. Their people are on their way now."

With that, Jiang Lan waved a hand, and a flying vehicle descended before her.

"Your Huang family can run for your lives on your own."

After saying this, Jiang Lan boarded the flying vehicle, then looked at the Huang family head with a trace of pity.

She knew these people of the Huang family could not possibly all escape. The Huang family had only three flying vehicles, and many of them would surely be captured if they had to rely on their own two legs.

The Huang family head ground his teeth in fury, feeling as though the sky itself were about to collapse.

In truth, he knew exactly what Jiang Lan was after: she wanted to see the Huang family suffer a devastating blow, so they would fight the Bureau of Law Enforcement to the bitter end, instead of continuing as before, where the Huang family could enjoy the resources of the New Moon Cult while still refusing to truly put in effort.
