Chapter 26: By Size
Originally, in Jiang Yun’s mind, when Mozi said she wanted to play games early, he assumed “early” meant around eleven or twelve at night at the latest. After all, Jiang Yun had already told her he wouldn’t start his stream until after midnight.
But to his surprise, Mozi called him a little after nine in the evening.
“Hey, hey, Yun, are you there?”
Jiang Yun was speechless. “You want to play this early?”
“No choice! Dai and Tuntun and I have all started streaming already.”
“Alright, wait for me. I’ll be there soon.”
“How long will it take? If it’s a while, Dai and I can start a round first.”
“Not long. I just need to take a dump, shower, and change into pajamas.”
Mozi was speechless this time.
“Do you guys really need to prepare so much just to play a game?”
At that moment, she was live, connected via voice chat with Dai and Tuntun, so their conversation was broadcast to all three audiences.
After hearing Mozi’s complaint, viewers quickly chimed in:
“You don’t get it—this is the standard procedure for us guys before gaming!”
“Exactly, a dump and a shower are basic steps. You can't skip them, or your hands won't feel right!”
“Respect, Yun’s being real here.”
“Don’t girls prepare before gaming too?”
“Uh…usually the ones who prep the most are the last to show up, and they often end up ghosting everyone.”
“True, the longer they take, the less they want to play. I bet after his shower, Yun will just want to lie in bed.”
“…”
Reading these comments, Mozi grew concerned, “Yun, you’re not going to get ready for half an hour and then bail, right?”
“Uh…shouldn’t happen. I’ll come right after my shower, very soon.”
Mozi clearly didn’t quite trust him, but she didn’t have much choice.
“Okay then, hurry up.”
After hanging up, Mozi turned to Dai and Tuntun. “Let’s play a couple of rounds first—he’ll join after his shower.”
Tuntun sighed enviously, “Tsk, it’s so nice not having to stream. You can just play whenever you want.”
Dai chimed in, “Yeah, unlike us poor souls, streaming all day and still working overtime at night.”
With that, they started a match.
Some viewers, after hearing Dai and Tuntun’s comments, had questions:
“Huh? Yun isn’t streaming?”
“He’s playing with you but not streaming?”
“What? He’s gaming but not streaming?”
“Wow, he’s really treating himself like a government worker, huh?”
“He’d rather play games behind our backs than stream for us? Has Yun gotten this lazy?”
“…”
Dai glanced at the barrage of comments and replied offhandedly, “I asked Yun earlier today. He said he already streamed, so he’s not going live again—he’ll wait until after midnight.”
Many viewers were speechless at this.
“Ah??? He’s waiting for a reset or something?”
“This is just like waiting for a respawn in-game!”
“What kind of reason is that? Is he for real?”
“Alright, so a streamer isn’t streaming in his own channel but in someone else’s?”
“I think I’ve seen this move before… in a certain female streamer’s channel.”
“Is this the male version of the Demon Queen?”
“…”
Meanwhile, after emptying his stomach and washing up, Jiang Yun sat down at his new computer. That afternoon, he’d already installed everything he needed.
Without any further setup, he launched the game and, following Mozi’s recent message, entered the YY chatroom.
“Crap, help me up!”
“Low health, low health! Just one more shot!”
“Oh come on, Tuntun, how are you still so bad? One more shot and they’d be dead!”
Jiang Yun entered to a chorus of chaos from Mozi and the others.
He cleared his throat and said, “Uh, can someone revive me?”
Mozi’s eyes lit up at the sound of his voice.
“Finally, Yun, you’re here. Any later and I’d have thought you were ditching us.”
Jiang Yun laughed, “How could I? It’s not every day I get to game with three beauties—I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
“So, Yun, which of us do you think is the prettiest?” Tuntun teased.
As soon as she asked, Dai and Mozi both fell silent.
Viewers in the chat burst out laughing.
“Haha, Tuntun’s evil—straight into a deathtrap question.”
“Don’t do this to Yun! He’s just a small-time streamer; he can’t afford to offend any of you!”
“You’re going to scare him off before the game even starts.”
“Wow, not even in the game yet and already with the trick questions. This web is hard to enter indeed!”
“…”
To everyone watching, Tuntun’s question was a no-win situation—a classic trap.
But Jiang Yun replied calmly, “The prettiest is Tuntun, then Mozi, then Dai.”
Dai: ???!!!
“What! Why am I last?!” Dai protested immediately.
That’s just how women are.
It’s not that they can’t handle imperfection in themselves—
But they definitely can’t accept being less perfect than another woman!
Especially in a group of three, being ranked last was intolerable for Dai.
Mozi and Tuntun stifled their laughter at Dai’s outrage, offering no help to Jiang Yun.
Tuntun, being ranked first, had no complaints.
Mozi, though second, was content not to be at the bottom—nothing to get upset about.
But a moment later, Mozi’s expression changed.
Jiang Yun added, “I ranked by size—you’re the smallest, so you’re third.”
Size???
Everyone froze at that word.
A beat later, Dai, Mozi, and Tuntun all looked down, cheeks flushing.
Tuntun pressed her lips together, fighting a grin—it was hard to suppress.
Jiang Yun’s words had praised her a second time.
Dai, though unconvinced, had to grimace and begrudgingly accept Jiang Yun’s judgment. There was no helping it—she just couldn’t compete.
But Mozi was different. She’d always thought she wasn’t small at all!
“Yun, what’s that supposed to mean? If we’re going by size, I should be first!” Mozi protested.
“I’m just judging by what I see—never had the chance to, you know, confirm otherwise,” Jiang Yun replied mischievously.
He expected that to leave Mozi speechless.
Instead, Mozi retorted boldly, “No problem! I’m downstairs in your building—come up to the 15th floor and I’ll let you check for yourself.”
Jiang Yun: …
Chat exploded with question marks.
“????”
“Mozi, what exactly do you mean by ‘let him check’? Is this for real???”
“Wait, am I really hearing this for free?”
“I’ve double-checked, I’m sure I haven’t opened the wrong app!”
“What sort of wild talk is this?”
“Alright, this is definitely the Spider’s Web—no question!”
“…”
