Faced with the sudden turn of events, it wasn't just Jiang Yun who was stunned; the only female streamer who hadn't been significantly injured was equally bewildered.

She looked at her fellow streamer, whose clothes were in tatters, then at the two male streamers retching on the ground, her eyes wide with confusion.

Huh? What was going on?

So much had happened in an instant that her brain felt like it had completely crashed. She finally looked at Jiang Yun, her eyes silently asking, "What do we do now?"

Jiang Yun just spread his hands. How the hell should I know?

"Squeak... squeak, squeak!"

Just then, a faint sound came from beneath the female streamer’s feet. She looked down instinctively, then let out a shriek of terror.

"Ah!!!"

Somehow, two mice had scurried under her feet, their claws incessantly poking at her shoes.

"Get away from me!!!"

The female streamer screamed, trembling all over as she scrambled to run away. But in her panicked state, she tripped over her own feet and went crashing down. The worst part was that as she fell, her face was pointed directly at the pile of vomit left by one of the male streamers nearby.

In a fit of panic, she twisted her body mid-air to face the sky, choosing to let the back of her head make intimate contact with the vomit instead.

Then...

"Blegh!"

The male streamer who had started it all vomited directly onto her face.

Feeling the vomit sliding from her cheeks toward her mouth and nose, her stomach began to churn violently. She scrambled to her knees and began to vomit alongside the two men.

"Blegh!"

The busty female streamer, seeing her miserable state, instinctively took two steps back, only to step squarely on one of the fleeing mice.

"Squeak! Squeak, squeak!!!"

The mouse’s shrill cry made her lift her foot in a panic, but she lost her balance and landed hard on her backside. As luck would have it, she sat down right next to the other fleeing mouse. Perhaps startled by her sudden descent, the mouse panicked and scrambled directly onto her thigh, scurrying all over her body.

"Ah!!! Stop just watching and come help me!" the busty streamer screamed at Jiang Yun.

She slapped at her body frantically, trying to swat the mouse away, but her movements only made it run faster. Jiang Yun watched her struggle, his lips pressed tight. He swore he wasn't the type to enjoy watching a spectacle... or was he? Either way, not right now.

Because the busty streamer hadn't found a replacement for her torn clothes, every time she jumped, there was a risk of something being revealed. And with the mouse running back and forth right near those sensitive areas, how was he supposed to help? Catch the mouse? What if he missed and grabbed something else? He’d be thrown in jail! He decided it was best for her to handle this herself.

Seeing that Jiang Yun wouldn't help, the busty streamer jumped up and down on the spot, trying to shake the mouse off. It worked; the mouse, which had been racing across her upper body, was shaken loose. But as it fell, one of its claws snagged the hem of her skirt. Paralyzed by fear, she instinctively ripped the skirt off and kicked the mouse away. The mouse didn't hesitate, bolting off with her skirt in tow and disappearing from sight in the blink of an eye.

She didn't realize the gravity of her situation yet. Relieved that the mouse was gone, she patted her chest, only to realize... she was down to her undergarments. And only the bottom ones at that.

"Ah!!!!!!!!"

The ear-piercing scream made Jiang Yun frown and cover his ears.

[Ding! The 'Bad Luck Charm (Lone Star version)' experience time has ended!]

As the system's voice echoed in his mind, Jiang Yun glanced at the streamers. Both men had eaten bird droppings and were now retching, one of them having also taken a kick to the groin from the busty streamer. The other female streamer, while she hadn't eaten bird droppings, had accidentally swallowed the vomit of the man who’d been kicked, and was now vomiting too. The only one not vomiting was down to her thong... and a pair of shoes. Her top had been torn during the scuffle, and her skirt had been carried off by a mouse—which she had removed herself.

Most importantly, all their Douyin livestreaming accounts had been banned. All four of them were permanently banned for severe violations regarding obscene content.

This was good news for Jiang Yun. Since he wasn't particularly popular on other platforms outside of Douyin, these people couldn't leech off his traffic anymore. He figured they’d be leaving after today. If they didn't, he’d just have to think of another way.

With that, Jiang Yun quietly slipped away. Since everyone else was preoccupied, no one noticed him leave.

...

After saying goodbye to the old director, Jiang Yun left. He was on his way home when he received a call from Dai Xiaomei.

"Hey, Brother Yun, what are you up to?"

"Heading home. What's up?"

"Well, the contract with Douyu is settled, and my team is currently negotiating a partnership with Douyin." Her tone was filled with excitement.

Jiang Yun smiled. "Congratulations."

"Not at all, I have to thank you, President Jiang. I wouldn't have been able to leave Douyu otherwise."

"That's true, you should thank me."

"How about I treat you to dinner later to show my appreciation?"

"What time?"

"Seven tonight. You pick the place."

"Sure."

"See you tonight."

"See you."

Unlike before, Jiang Yun agreed to her invitation readily. It was simple: as he said, she owed him, so a dinner was perfectly reasonable. More importantly, she’d mentioned her team was still in talks with Douyin, meaning it would be a while before she started streaming there. For the next few days, she was essentially unemployed and wouldn't be streaming on any platform, so he had no reason to worry about being caught on camera. He hadn't liked agreeing to her invites before because she was always holding her phone and filming, and he disliked being on camera when he wasn't streaming.
