Chapter 24: A Note on This Book.

I would like to start by offering an apology to my readers on QQ Reading. I only discovered today that there are comments section there, and I hope you will forgive me for not being able to reply to each one individually.

I would like to specifically address a question from a reader who wanted to know about the direction of this book and my views on the various factions involved.

My answer is as follows:

Reunion Movement will definitely be fought. If I were to force a redemption arc for them, the million souls lost in Chernobog would never rest in peace—this isn't like the Abyssal Fleet from Kancolle, which could potentially be washed clean.

However, Reunion cannot be the only antagonist; that would be far too monotonous. If I spent two hundred thousand words crushing Reunion and then spent the remaining million words just filling space, I suspect you readers would hang me from a flagpole as a warning to others.

I must mention here that the productivity of Hypergryph is appallingly low. I imagine they never expected Arknights to become such a massive hit so suddenly. Such is the unpredictability of life—who can truly foresee fortune or disaster?

The tone of this book leans toward the everyday and the heartwarming. I have no desire to write anything dark, deep, or cruel; consider this a bit of warmth brought to the world of Terra.

Regarding the issue of Oripathy, Hypergryph has not provided a solution; they intend to keep us in suspense. While drafting my outline, I prepared two sets of solutions, as well as contingency plans in case Hypergryph suddenly decides to retcon their own lore. I hope I won't have to use them.

While writing this book, I haven't gone to other books to advertise, I haven't handed out red envelopes, and I haven't even sought out investments, mostly because I have no idea how to go about it—which is quite pitiful, really.

The other day, an expert from LifeAfter traveled a long way to offer some very useful advice. I was flattered, overwhelmed, and deeply grateful. Thank you, sir.

I have written nearly fifty thousand words so far, and I haven't received any promotional push yet, which makes me a little nervous.
