Chapter 45: Avoid Water at All Costs

Looking at the exasperated Lin Chuyi, Lin Jiuyue said with a trace of embarrassment, " Eldest Sister, we are leaving first."

Clearly, Lin Chuyi's threats had zero effect.

"Goodbye, Eldest Sister." With Lin Jiuyue taking the lead, the others also waved goodbye to Lin Chuyi.

Lin Qiue smiled brightly as she waved at Lin Chuyi. "We are heading out now. Make sure you take good care of Elder Brother Mo."

That's right! How could she have forgotten about that? She could stay at home and take care of Elder Brother Mo! In her mind, she could already see silver coins flying toward her.

Lin Chuyi's large eyes rolled, and her face instantly lit up with joy as she waved back.

As the others left, Lin Chuyi was the only one remaining in the dining hall. Only then did she notice her disheveled and filthy clothes.

Good heavens, she had actually eaten without even washing up or grooming herself!

Meanwhile, in the guest room of the inner courtyard.

"You must remember not to let the wound get wet, lest it become infected and worsen," Physician Li said as he secured the bandages.

Mo Yu lowered his head and smiled, acknowledging the instruction. But could he really resist the temptation of water?

That was obviously impossible.

Physician Li apparently anticipated this as well and added, "You may use a damp cloth to wipe your body, but you must avoid bathing at all costs."

Mo Yu smiled. "Physician Li is certainly presenting me with quite a difficult problem."

Having just packed up his medicine chest, Physician Li chuckled upon hearing this. "The difficulties Young Master Mo encounters must be countless; what is a small matter like this?"

Mo Yu shook his head with a sigh. If he had to compare, among all the trials he had ever faced, the inability to bathe was by far the most agonizing.

Listening to their exchange, Lin Zhixiang could not help looking slightly stunned. "The two of you know each other?"

At that, both men smiled, yet neither of them answered the question.

Physician Li bowed respectfully to Lin Zhixiang and said, "Farewell."

Lin Zhixiang hurriedly replied, "Physician Li, I'm afraid we will be troubling you these next few days."

Knowing that he was referring to changing Mo Yu's dressings, Physician Li smiled and nodded.

"Farewell." With that, he turned and left.

Lin Zhixiang looked at Mo Yu lying on the bed and asked respectfully, "Young Master, do you have any other instructions?"

Seeing Lin Zhixiang acting with such formal courtesy, Mo Yu could only sigh inwardly. He knew it was impossible to make Lord Lin completely relaxed, so he refrained from repeating his request to cast aside such formalities.

"Please trouble Lord Lin to have some garments prepared for me."

Only then did Lin Zhixiang snap back to reality. Seeing Mo Yu's robe stained with dirt and blood, he nodded repeatedly. "Of course, of course."

With that, Lin Zhixiang turned and hurried away.

It had to be said that his efficiency was truly remarkable. In less than the time it took to burn half a stick of incense, several sets of brand-new garments were delivered right to the side of Mo Yu's bed.

Looking at the pristine clothing, Mo Yu smiled. "Many thanks, Lord Lin."

Lin Zhixiang stood somewhat awkwardly beside the bed. Seeing that Mo Yu had no further requests, he said, "I will not disturb your rest any longer, Young Master. If you need anything, you may come to the study to find me."

With that, Lin Zhixiang meticulously explained the location of the study to Mo Yu. Fearing that Mo Yu might still lose his way, he even produced a detailed map of the Lin residence before finally turning to leave.

Looking at the map in his hands, Mo Yu was momentarily stunned. The map was extremely detailed, even marking the living quarters of every family member as well as the courtyards where the servants resided.

As he studied the map more closely, a pleasant surprise flickered in Mo Yu's eyes. He actually discovered a hot spring marked on the map!

Committing the location of the hot spring to memory, Mo Yu picked up the clean clothes and stepped out of the room. As for Physician Li's strict injunction against bathing, it was promptly thrown to the back of his mind.
