Chapter 12: The Reborn?
Page 1/3
Fearing a fight might break out between the two, Su Xiyue quickly spoke up, “Um, Mo Lin, could you please let go of Ye Ling? Holding onto him like that makes it hard for him to walk.”
At her words, Mo Lin’s cold, serpentine eyes finally turned toward Ye Ling.
Sure enough, he saw the wolf’s face darken, silver eyes shadowed with a hint of rage.
Mo Lin’s gaze flickered slightly; he then released Ye Ling, returning to his original size, and wandered beside Su Xiyue.
Bai Qi also transformed into his true form—a fox covered in pure white fur, with nine tails flowing behind him, a truly beautiful sight.
Originally walking at the rear, he now quickened his pace to reach Su Xiyue’s side, flanking her alongside Mo Lin, curiously scrutinizing her.
They simply could not understand what had changed in this lazy, gluttonous, and wildly unattractive female to make the leader agree to bring her out hunting—and to awaken a special ability, no less.
It was truly baffling.
Bai Qi’s true form was far less intimidating than Mo Lin’s; on the contrary, it was quite pleasing to the eye—a fluffy bundle of fur.
Su Xiyue, a plush toy enthusiast, couldn’t help but reach out her hand, wanting to stroke him.
That fur looked so soft and touchable.
However, before her hand could make contact, Bai Qi jumped away warily, putting some distance between them, his eyes icy.
It was clear that if she tried to touch him again, he wouldn’t be so polite.
Embarrassed, Su Xiyue withdrew her hand and rubbed her nose, feeling awkward.
She had forgotten that Bai Qi also intensely disliked her and did not appreciate being touched.
Seeing her retract her hand without further attempts, Bai Qi averted his gaze but still kept a certain distance.
Qing Zhu also transformed into his true form—a large wolf covered in vibrant green fur, roughly twice the size of an ordinary wolf, about the same size as Ye Ling.
Originally walking ahead, he slowed his pace and approached Su Xiyue, standing alongside Mo Lin and Bai Qi, his gaze subtly appraising her.
Su Xiyue’s drastic change today aroused his curiosity.
But upon seeing her sitting astride Ye Ling while occasionally reaching out to touch Bai Qi, a flash of disdain crossed his wolfish eyes.
How shameless.
He soon turned his gaze away and focused solely on the journey ahead.
Xuan Ming was the same—his true form a massive wolf with fur as black as ink, trailing at the back, his expression cold, exuding an aura that warned strangers to keep away.
He had thought Su Xiyue had gotten better, but seeing her riding Ye Ling and attempting to touch Bai Qi, he realized he had been mistaken.

If Su Xiyue knew she had only wanted to touch Bai Qi but had thus earned their dislike, she probably would never have dared to reach out again, even if beaten to death.
The group moved swiftly, and within minutes, they had already traveled far from the tribe.
After more than an hour, they arrived at Taguer Forest.
The trees in Taguer Forest were tall and lush, forming a dense canopy that blocked out most sunlight. Rays of light filtered through the leaves, scattering in mottled patterns.
The forest was eerily quiet, disturbed only occasionally by the chirping of insects and birds, creating a somewhat unsettling atmosphere.
Yet for the beastmen, this was paradise.
Su Xiyue sat atop Ye Ling’s back, her curious eyes surveying the surroundings, brimming with wonder.
This was her first time in Taguer Forest; even the original owner had never ventured this far, usually only roaming near the tribe.
The day before, Chu Youyou had been left in the Silver Pine Forest to the tribe’s southwest—not here—so Su Xiyue did not expect to encounter her.
Still, she remained cautious and asked the system in her mind, “Tongtong, may I call you that?”
“Yes,” the system’s voice quickly responded in her mind. “What does the host need?”
“Yesterday, when Chu Youyou crossed over, didn’t I secretly leave her in the forest? How is her situation?”
She asked the system, inwardly concerned.
Though the female lead player came from the modern world and lacked much self-preservation ability, the female lead’s halo ensured she would be fine.
Indeed, the system soon replied, “Host, after you left Chu Youyou in the Silver Pine Forest, she did encounter some danger but was fortunately rescued at a critical moment by Mu Han, a fifth-rank beastman from the Winged Tiger Tribe. She has since been taken back to the Winged Tiger Tribe and is currently staying in Mu Han’s cave.”
As expected.
Su Xiyue pursed her lips. She recalled that Mu Han was the sixth male lead, a Winged Tiger in his true form, who later became one of Chu Youyou’s beast husbands.
Thanks to her interference, these two had met earlier than in the original story.
Knowing that Chu Youyou had gone to the Winged Tiger Tribe, she no longer worried.
After all, if they didn’t meet soon, Chu Youyou wouldn’t easily come before her to be a nuisance.
“Tongtong, can you detect if there are any other travelers or reincarnators besides me and Chu Youyou?”
Thinking further, she asked internally.
Since she and Chu Youyou could cross into this world, others might be able to as well.
The system thought the host was quite vigilant—no wonder it had chosen her.
After scanning the world, it replied, “Aside from the host and Chu Youyou, no other travelers have been detected... wait, it seems there is one reincarnator, in the Winged Tiger Tribe.”
“What? There really is? Who?”
Page 3/3
Su Xiyue asked casually, not expecting an actual answer, and was curious about who in the Winged Tiger Tribe had reincarnated.
After a moment of silence, as if confirming, the system responded, “It is a female from the Winged Tiger Tribe—Yun Zhu.”
“Yun Zhu?”
Su Xiyue muttered, the name sounding somewhat familiar. After thinking for a while, she recalled it was another villainous female supporting character from the book.
Yun Zhu was the most beautiful female of the Winged Tiger Tribe, having loved Mu Han since childhood and always wanting to be his partner.
Mu Han, as the sixth male lead, was naturally very handsome and immensely powerful, nearly on par with Ye Ling and Mo Lin, making him the strongest of the young generation in the Winged Tiger Tribe.
Many females naturally adored him.
It was perfectly normal for Yun Zhu to like Mu Han.
Unfortunately, Mu Han did not return Yun Zhu’s affections. When he met the traveling Chu Youyou, he instantly fell for her.
To become Chu Youyou’s beast husband, he once fought fiercely against Ye Ling, Mo Lin, Bai Qi, Qing Zhu, and Xuan Ming.
In the end, he was stopped by Chu Youyou, who tearfully pleaded, “Please don’t fight over me anymore; I don’t deserve this. I love all of you...”
Eventually, she accepted them all, and even took in several more later.
By the story’s end, they had almost formed a harem of male partners, living happily ever after.
Returning to the point, Yun Zhu, as another villainous female supporting character, met a particularly tragic end, making her something of a kindred spirit with the original owner.
Now that Yun Zhu had reincarnated, she probably no longer liked Mu Han.
After all, her last life was so miserable; if she still liked Mu Han after reincarnation, she’d have to be crazy.
But regardless, she would surely seek revenge against Chu Youyou.
“Tongtong, does Yun Zhu have memories of her past life?”
Su Xiyue asked again, having thought of something.
The system was speechless. “Since she has reincarnated, she must have her memories.”
Embarrassed, she felt she had asked a foolish question.
With Yun Zhu reincarnated and possessing past memories, and Chu Youyou now at the Winged Tiger Tribe, things would hardly be easy.
However, since it didn’t concern her directly, she merely noted it and did not ask further.
