After seeing Shen Lin off, Fu Yuan let out a long sigh of relief when no more patients with appointments came in for examinations. She then turned on her computer and began writing her work report.
Before long, the lunch bell rang.
“Sis Yuan, we’re having beef stir-fried with chili peppers and shredded pork with bitter melon for lunch.” Qi Heng knocked on the door and entered the office, placing the two large lunch boxes he was carrying on the coffee table.
Some time earlier, Fu Yuan had hired a cook, and he had successfully landed the position, taking responsibility for preparing all three of her daily meals.
“Thank you for your trouble.”
Yun Sheng had no idea who she was supposed to welcome. Her eyes kept peering into the construction site.
But everything she had prepared was utterly crushed by the breakfast Duan Muchen had made. It was defeated so completely that not even scraps remained.
“Then pack your luggage tonight. We’ll set off first thing tomorrow morning,” Fu Yan said.
“You’re joking? I’m not joking. What do you mean? Is my face really that hard to recognize?” Huang Feng was furious. He immediately challenged Li Fu, practically itching to seize him by the collar and have it out with him.
They could listen and watch as much as they liked, and casually discuss matters online, but the moment they were asked to participate, their minds would go blank and they would be completely at a loss.
Lin Yu frowned as he dodged more than a dozen consecutive slashes from the Elder Master. With a flap of his wings, he leaped a little farther away.
The Sage Laozi turned his gaze toward Xiao Feng. He and the Celestial Venerable Yuanshi naturally lacked the power to seek Xiao Feng out and investigate the situation themselves, so they could only ask the several million disciples of the Interpretation Sect.
Su Chen’s palm tore apart two rifts, sending two powerful members of the Primordial Ancient Clan reeling backward.
Yet the farther they went, the fewer ghosts they encountered along the road. Farther ahead, there were practically none left at all. The surroundings were desolate and pitch-black, with only the sound of chains scraping against the ground.
“Although I’m only making a suspicion, I trust my own judgment,” Teacher Zheng said firmly.

Tang Hao truly could not leave his family at present. Even though they had managed to gather the surgical expenses, Tang Ying still needed time to recover, and she very much needed him by her side.
The shock wave struck where it stood. The bluestone pavement shattered inch by inch amid the surging force, cracks spreading in all directions like a densely woven spiderweb.
I would not reveal any other emotions, because to me, there was no need. Even if I advanced to the next level, I would not show any particular happiness.
While driving, Liang Ye sent Xiao Xiao a text message, telling her that he was on his way to pick her up.
Feng Liu frowned. Before he could say anything more, the summoning spell was activated, and he vanished in an instant.
“Oh, then let’s go with the first one.” Ye Hao acted as though he had not heard He Xiangyi at all and made the decision outright.
Su Tangtang also knew that she had to work hard. Even if she did not know how, she would certainly find a way out through trial and error.
As Yun Yehuang pondered, Mu Qingqian took a step back. With effortless composure, she brushed the dust from her clothes, did not even spare him a glance, and turned away with a carefree air. Then she crouched down to pick the seven-leaf lotus.
“Talking about money at a time like this would be terribly vulgar.” Ye Tian did not even look at it. With a casual wave of his hand, the bone halberd shattered on the spot.
Hu Ye immediately thrust out a long leg as massive as a mountain. That enormous leg naturally blocked a fierce punch from the evil ghost Chi You.
It turned out that Sun Shangxiang, the Apocalyptic Mecha who was behind Lü Bu, the Apocalyptic Mecha, had fired a bullet that knocked Baili Xuance’s sickle away.
“If we repair it now and those smells seep into the wood before it gets sealed up, won’t we have to take it apart again later?” That was what he said.
“All right. I willingly accept the duty of staying behind to guard this sentry booth and the Demon-Suppressing Pagoda. I’ll await Brother Hero’s orders at any time,” Zhang Qiang said resolutely.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” Shen Yi felt the burning gaze beside him and awkwardly rubbed the tip of his nose.
Although the old master still wore his usual icy expression, Shen Yi could sense that his mood had improved somewhat.

“Raising a military adviser like you is truly a waste of food. If we let them pass, what are we supposed to eat and drink?” Wu Yaofa said as he swallowed nervously.
Bzzt suddenly thought of a fat man: Haken the Butcher. The fellow got along rather well with Luca’s group and had also seen Bzzt display his extraordinary wisdom. Perhaps he could prove useful.
Feeling the surging spiritual energy within the spirit wine, the fat man gave a bitter smile and shook his head. “It’s useless.” As he spoke, he laboriously turned around, allowing Zhang Chen to see the two hideous wounds across his shoulder blades.
I fell into a deep sleep that night. For a long time, my sleep had not been very good. I dreamed excessively whenever I slept, and when I awoke, my head felt groggy and heavy.
After the food was ready, his mother did not call us out to eat. Instead, she had Li Hua bring it directly to the room, then returned to her own room to watch television after finishing her meal.
“I don’t know exactly what happened either. Mu Feng, among the cultivators who came in with us, does any of them know how to use the Entanglement Art?”
Xiao Chuo understood Yelü Xian’s intentions even less and stared at him in bewilderment. She instinctively drew her hand back a little, but then met Yelü Xian’s clear, spring-like eyes. She no longer refused and merely watched his movements in silence.
Yet because Princess Liao Fei had died, the Kingdom of Feihong had lost those soldiers of extraordinary strength. Only then did the two sides begin fighting on relatively equal terms.
Xuanyuan Chengnuo and Chao Ximeng followed closely behind as they climbed down from the carriage. Flower Grove Alley in autumn was still as bustling as ever. Although autumn was a season of decline, there was no shortage of people who loved chrysanthemums and delighted in admiring them. In this autumnal landscape, they recited poetry and composed verse.
But words once spoken could never be taken back. All those “ifs” existed only in my imagination; they could never become reality.
“The martial arts tournament does not begin until tomorrow afternoon. Perhaps Master is still on the road. All we can do is wait,” Huangfu Mo said with a sigh.
Still, some pills were needed to repair the damage, and that strike had consumed a tremendous amount of energy as well.
I want to be an actor. I will face temptations, dangers, and even coercion far more readily than ordinary people. Li Hua cannot stay by my side at all times like a hired thug, and the most effective way he can think of to protect me is with money.
