Nanchu and Yu Miao received their new supplies, which consisted of two packs of instant noodles and two bottles of water.

The two of them divided the supplies between themselves, while the others got nothing at all.

Lai Yuzhu looked envious and said, "How nice, instant noodles."

Hou Ming asked, "Sister Nan, have you ever studied volleyball? How are you so good at it?"

"Never studied it. I suppose I'm just relatively gifted in sports." Thanks to her skills; she was truly grateful for her abilities.

"By the way, it's going to rain this afternoon, so make sure to take shelter," Nanchu reminded them.

"Nanchu, how do you know it's going to rain?"

"I studied the observation of celestial phenomena," Nanchu replied. "If your shelters aren't waterproof, you can come find me."

As she spoke, Nanchu directed her gaze toward Zhai Xueying and offered her a smile.

After chatting for a while, the others left.

Since Yu Miao didn't have a German individual mess tin, she followed Nanchu back to her resting place.

"Wow, Nanchu, you're amazing! You built this so well," Yu Miao exclaimed. "Did you take a special course in this, Nanchu?"

"Before joining the show, I watched quite a few videos." Naturally, she couldn't mention that she had built similar structures countless times before.

"Then you're really talented. Just by watching videos, you're able to build something this good," Yu Miao praised.

Nanchu smiled and said, "Maybe I have some natural talent for it."

"Sister Yu, go ahead and cook your noodles. I'm going to take a walk by the beach."

"Alright." Yu Miao nodded.

Nanchu went to check out the coastline. Walking along the shore for over half an hour, she discovered some goose barnacles, which were exceptionally delicious.

Armed with her military folding shovel, Nanchu went over to the reefs to harvest the goose barnacles.

There were even more growing in the crevices of the steep rock walls. Nanchu climbed up to harvest them, and once she had collected enough, she continued searching along the beach, finding some abalone and kelp as well.

When she returned, Yu Miao had already left.

Yu Miao had washed the mess tin clean for her and even replenished the firewood she had used.

Nanchu began to boil a pot of goose barnacle soup. As it simmered, dark clouds gathered thickly, and a strong wind started to blow.

A short while later, rain began to fall.

Nanchu used some of the trash she had previously collected to catch the rainwater.

The collected rainwater could later be used for washing up or rinsing fruits.

The wooden cabin Nanchu had built had no issues with keeping the rain out, but the other guests were in a rather miserable state.

Zhai Xueying, in particular, hadn't built a shelter at all, so she could only hold a palm frond over her head.

[How pitiful, getting caught in the rain.]

[Serves her right, I'd say. It's a survival show, and she didn't even bother building a shelter just because she wanted to be lazy.]

[The house Nanchu built is genuinely great. Not a single drop of rain is leaking in.]

[Brother Xue's house is pretty good too; very little water is seeping through.]

[Getting soaked like this, won't the female guest surnamed Zhai catch a cold? Doesn't the production team even provide an umbrella?]

The rain showed no signs of stopping. Remembering what Nanchu had said earlier—and the location of the shelter Nanchu had mentioned during their chat—Zhai Xueying decided to go look for her.

Twenty minutes later, Zhai Xueying arrived at Nanchu's resting place.

"Sister Zhai, come on in quickly." Seeing Zhai Xueying completely drenched, Nanchu hurried her over to warm herself by the fire.

She then handed her a bowl of hot soup to warm her body from the inside.

Although the weather was warm, getting soaked like this could still chill one to the bone.

"Thank you," Zhai Xueying expressed her gratitude.

"Don't mention it. We're both girls, so helping each other out is only right."

[Aww, so touching. Some people wouldn't help each other out just because they're girls; tearing each other down for competition is more like it.]

[This world truly cannot do without women.]

[Nanchu is genuinely a good person.]

[Nanchu said it would rain, and it actually rained. She's amazing!]

[Could she have learned this from Master Fu in the previous variety show?]

[Isn't Master Fu a fortune-teller? Can he read the weather too?]

After a while, Lai Yuzhu and Yu Miao arrived as well.

Water was leaking into their shelters too, which prompted them to seek refuge with Nanchu.

Nanchu shared the boiled goose barnacles with all three of them.

"Wow, this is so fresh and delicious," Lai Yuzhu praised.

Yu Miao asked, "Nanchu, what is this?"

"Goose barnacles."

Zhai Xueying inquired, "Where did you gather these? Is it hard to get them?"

"It depends on the terrain. Some places are hard to harvest and very dangerous, while others are easy," Nanchu explained. "If you want to gather some, I can take you there later."

"I'll say thank you in advance then," Yu Miao said.

"You're welcome."

[Nanchu is so generous, sharing the food she foraged herself with the other female guests.]

[This isn't fun to watch at all. I want to see competition, cunning, and backstabbing, not these cozy, mutual-aid scenes.]

[This is supposed to be a survival show, but it doesn't feel like survival at all. Nanchu seems to be living quite comfortably.]

The rain poured for over two hours before finally stopping.

Once the rain cleared, Nanchu led them out to look for goose barnacles.

"So these are goose barnacles! There are so many of them," Yu Miao exclaimed.

Lai Yuzhu took a folding shovel and immediately started harvesting.

Nanchu didn't compete with them. She had gathered plenty that morning; although she had shared some with Zhai Xueying and the others, she still had a good amount left.

If she harvested any more to take back, she wouldn't be able to finish it all, and it would end up spoiling.

Since the sun had come out again after the rain, Nanchu advised them:

"Don't harvest too much. Tomorrow will be sunny, and once you take them back, they won't keep for long. They'll go bad and become inedible. Just come back to gather more when you want to eat them."

"Got it," Zhai Xueying replied.

"Okay," Lai Yuzhu agreed.

"Understood," said Yu Miao.

After harvesting for over an hour, the four of them headed back.

Zhai Xueying, Lai Yuzhu, and Yu Miao returned to their respective resting spots.

Back at her campsite, Zhai Xueying picked up her folding shovel and went to cut down some trees. She needed to build a proper place to live.

Because she now knew there wouldn't be any rain, she simply built a crude canopy to provide shade from the sun.

When Nanchu returned to her camp, she didn't rest either, spending some time tidying up the surrounding area.

That night, the stars came out once again.

Looking up at the stars in the sky, Nanchu found herself missing Jiang Han. She wondered if his work was going smoothly.

Meanwhile, Jiang Han was busy with work while simultaneously watching Nanchu's livestream. As he watched, he realized just how many practical life skills his girlfriend possessed.

She was remarkably capable—she even dared to catch snakes.

And she actually climbed steep cliffs!

When he watched it happen live, he had been scared out of his wits, terrified that Nanchu might get bitten by a snake or slip into the ocean. Fortunately, all his worries turned out to be unfounded.

Once she finished filming and came back, he would definitely have to lecture her about not doing such dangerous things again.

The night passed quietly, bringing them to the final day.

Today's challenge was a beach treasure hunt.

The production team had cordoned off a section of the beach and buried small balls within the marked area. Inside each ball was a slip of paper indicating a prize that could be claimed.

A total of fifty balls had been buried.

As soon as the director shouted the start, the guests rushed onto the sand and began digging with their folding shovels.

Nanchu didn't use any special skills; she just dug based on her intuition.

Soon, she unearthed a yellow ball. Nanchu opened it and saw a slip of paper that read: a cup of cooking oil.

The production team certainly knew how to be stingy.

Nanchu continued digging and shortly after found a green ball. The slip of paper inside read: a green chili pepper.

Tsk!

Nanchu lost all motivation to keep searching. Besides, there was only one day left anyway, and she wouldn't starve.

She might as well leave these items for the other guests.
