Chapter Forty-Two: The Celebrity Survival Challenge, Part Three

Nanchu finished speaking, made a "shh" gesture, and then closed her eyes. After a moment, she snapped her eyes open, grabbed her entrenching tool, and sprinted in a specific direction.

Before the cameraman could even react, he saw Nanchu walking back while holding a snake by its tail.

[A snake?!] The cameraman was inwardly shocked.

[What just happened? How did Nanchu end up dragging a snake back just by blinking?]

"Can this snake be caught and eaten?" Nanchu asked the cameraman, looking at him.

The cameraman immediately contacted the director.

There was a local from the Solomon Islands with the director, who gave some advice. After listening, the director replied to the cameraman via the walkie-talkie.

"This is a Palawan snake, and it's edible. The locals here catch and eat it too," the cameraman answered.

"As long as it's edible," Nanchu said. "I'll go process it."

"It's a bit bloody, you might want to stay away from me." Standing a distance away, Nanchu removed the snake's head and then skinned it.

Afterward, she went out to look for dry firewood so they could start a fire at night.

While searching for firewood, she ran into Hu Liang.

Hu Liang nodded, exchanged greetings, and continued searching for food.

While gathering firewood, Nanchu also cut a large amount of pine needles, rubbed them between her hands, and smeared them on her body to repel mosquitoes and bugs.
