Fang You walked alone at the back, shivering from head to toe.

Up ahead, Nan Chu could hear his repeated screams, and the smile on her face was impossible to suppress.

By the time Fang You reached the seventh floor, Yun Chu had already found the treasure chest.

Afterward, they left the apartment building from the opposite side, boarded another bus, and waited there.

When they returned to the bus, the second team, Li Wenya and Shen Shangqian, set off.

Li Wenya was rather frightened. Shen Shangqian took her hand. “Don’t be afraid. There are no ghosts or monsters in this world.”

The two entered the apartment building together. Shortly after they went in, the doll fell out again.

“Ah—!”

Terrified, Li Wenya hurriedly clutched Shen Shangqian’s arm. Her whole body was trembling. She was genuinely scared.

Shen Shangqian had also been startled, but he patted Li Wenya first and comforted her. “It’s all right. It’s only a doll.”

The audience was no longer afraid, having already been frightened once.

Some viewers, however, had only just tuned in and were scared all over again.

Still, after watching the guests interact, quite a few viewers who enjoyed shipping couples declared themselves thoroughly satisfied.

The two moved rather slowly, because Li Wenya was so frightened that she did not dare rummage through the cabinets and boxes in search of the treasure chest.

By the time they finally found it, Li Wenya was so frightened that she was completely dazed.

She returned to the bus in a state of shock. The moment she got on, she hurried over and sat beside Nan Chu, clinging tightly to her arm.

“It was terrifying.”

[She nearly lost her soul from fright. This is supposed to be a dating show—couldn’t they learn from other dating shows and create a sweet romantic atmosphere? Why make it so frightening?]

Nan Chu stroked Li Wenya’s head. “It’s all right now. It’s over.”

Then Nan Chu took out a pair of earphones and put them on Li Wenya. “Listen to some music.”

“Thank you, Nan Chu.”

[Nan Chu is truly wonderful.]

【Nan Chu and Li Wenya make a great pair too.】

【The yuri vibes are flourishing!】

【The lilies of our homeland are blooming!】

【Nan Chu has overwhelming boyfriend energy, while Li Wenya is a timid little wife.】

After that, the guests from the third team entered the apartment building.

Meanwhile, Jiang Han and Yang Yi were dining by candlelight at a five-star restaurant.

“Jiang Han, why did you become a psychologist?” Yang Yi asked, tilting her head.

“There’s no particular reason. I simply chose a major at random and studied it.” Jiang Han’s tone was extremely indifferent.

Ignoring his cold manner, Yang Yi continued searching for another topic. “Jiang Han, what do you like to do when you’re on vacation? I love traveling. It helps me relax and gives me inspiration.”

“Miss Yang, let me be frank. I’m not interested in you, so I don’t want to get to know you.” Jiang Han spoke bluntly. “I already have someone I like. I only want to understand her, and I only want her to understand me.”

“So, Miss Yang, could you eat in silence? Once we’re done, let’s return as soon as possible.”

Yang Yi looked awkward after hearing this. She gave an embarrassed laugh and fell silent.

【Jiang Han is being far too inconsiderate toward Yang Yi. He has no gentlemanly manners at all.】

【I think Jiang Han handled it very well. He doesn’t fall for everyone he meets. He’s loyal.】

【Jiang Han’s “someone he likes” has to be Nan Chu. Start shipping the Jiangnan couple!】

The two soon finished their meal.

They had originally planned to go shopping afterward, but the atmosphere between them had become so awkward that they abandoned the idea and returned directly.

When Jiang Han arrived back at the guesthouse, however, he found that no one was there. Could everyone else have gone on group dates?

Jiang Han sent Nan Chu a message, and she replied soon after.

When he saw her response, Jiang Han had to admit that the director really knew how to have fun—he had actually arranged a terrifying treasure hunt.

Jiang Han asked when she would be back. Nan Chu replied that two teams had yet to take part in the treasure hunt, so it would probably be another hour or so.

After receiving her reply, Jiang Han returned to his room, picked up a bag, and went to Nan Chu’s room.

It was not until twenty minutes later that Jiang Han emerged.

An hour later, the treasure hunt finally ended. The fastest pair was Nan Chu and Fang You.

They had finished in nine minutes and thirty-three seconds.

The slowest were Cheng Luoli and Wei Ziyi, who took twenty-seven minutes and fifty-six seconds.

Cheng Luoli had been far too frightened to go upstairs and explore, which had cost them a great deal of time.

Nan Chu and Fang You won the privilege of going on a date the following day.

On the bus, everyone sent their messages of affection for the day. Once the messages had been sent, the livestream ended.

By the time they returned to the guesthouse, it was nearly ten o’clock at night.

Everyone went back to their respective rooms.

When Nan Chu returned to her room, she saw a gift box.

Inside, on top of everything else, lay a handwritten card.

There was only one sentence:

Among all the scenery in the world, you are my favorite.

Beneath the card was a book.

Under the book was another box containing a pair of earrings, a necklace, and a bracelet.

They all looked expensive.

Looking at the gifts, Nan Chu was deeply moved. Someone was thinking of her; someone cared about her. It was something she had never experienced before.

Nan Chu sat there in a daze for a long while before finally washing up and going to bed.

The next day, Nan Chu put on the earrings, necklace, and bracelet Jiang Han had prepared for her.

Jiang Han noticed the earrings at once and gave Nan Chu a knowing smile.

He was delighted.

Nan Chu liked his gifts.

After breakfast, the production team announced, “The two guests who won yesterday may choose a guest they wish to get to know better, and the chosen guest may not refuse.”

The director continued, “You may begin choosing.”

“I choose Cheng Luoli,” Fang You said.

[Being with the Best Actress Cheng will bring more attention and screen time.]

When Cheng Luoli heard that Fang You had chosen her, her expression darkened slightly.

She had heard what kind of person Fang You was within the industry. Being chosen by someone like him was truly bad luck.

“I choose Jiang Han,” Nan Chu said with a smile.

Jiang Han was overjoyed, unable to suppress the smile at the corners of his lips.

“The remaining guests will choose one another. Guests who successfully choose each other will be paired together.”

The remaining guests sent their choices to the production team by text message.

During the first round of mutual selection, Li Wenya and Nangong Hengmo successfully chose each other, as did Xu Fei and Shen Shangqian.

Then came the second round, but no pair succeeded. Even after four rounds of mutual selection, they still had no success.

The production team finally asked them to draw lots.

The final pairings were as follows:

Pair One: Nan Chu and Jiang Han.
Pair Two: Cheng Luoli and Fang You.
Pair Three: Li Wenya and Nangong Hengmo.
Pair Four: Xu Fei and Shen Shangqian.
Pair Five: Yang Yi and Si Junyan.
Pair Six: Sha Mengyuan and Wei Ziyi.
Pair Seven: Zhuo Han and Meng Yuan.

After the pairings were finalized, each group was free to arrange its own outing.

Jiang Han drove, taking Nan Chu with him.

He brought her to the Jing City Flower Town Floral Creative Park.

There were flowers everywhere.

“Choose whichever ones you like. We’ll buy a few pots and take them home,” Jiang Han said gently.

“All right.” Nan Chu nodded.

There were so many beautiful flowers that Nan Chu was dazzled.

In the end, they chose several varieties that were easy to care for.

After buying them, Jiang Han took Nan Chu out for delicious food. Once they had finished eating, he brought her to a bookstore in the afternoon, where they bought several books.

They went shopping afterward, and the two of them even saw a movie. In the dim theater, Jiang Han reached out and held Nan Chu’s hand, feeding her popcorn as well.

When the movie ended, they left hand in hand.

Their day together had been exceedingly pleasant.
